Dr. Isra Qatanani

Dr. Isra Qatanani, MD is a New Jersey–licensed pediatric physician dedicated to caring for the community she proudly calls home. A lifelong local resident and mother of two, she brings both clinical expertise and a parent’s perspective to every visit.

Dr. Qatanani completed her undergraduate studies at NJIT and Rutgers University, earned her medical degree from St. George’s University, and returned to her hometown for pediatric residency training at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson. During residency, she received multiple awards for excellence, including recognition as Best Teaching Resident.

Her clinical interests include child growth and development, with a particular focus on early identification and support for developmental and learning concerns. She is also passionate about prevention and long-term wellness, including healthy nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle habits that support lifelong health.

She is especially interested in quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving screening, early intervention, and care coordination for developmental delays, as well as supporting families in addressing childhood obesity through sustainable nutrition and activity-based strategies.

Dr. Qatanani is fluent in English and Arabic and values clear, culturally responsive communication so families feel informed and supported in their child’s care. She is also learning Spanish to better connect with and serve the area’s Spanish-speaking community.
